A compact bathroom in Ridgeways finished in a coral pink palette with terrazzo surfaces throughout. The ceiling and walls are painted coral; the floor and partial wall tile are white terrazzo with brown aggregate chips. A pedestal basin sits on a black metal frame with a small round mirror and vanity light bar above. A clear glass panel divides the basin zone from the wet area, where a wall-mounted toilet sits behind and an open shower with a black-framed rain head occupies the rear wall.
The Brief
Redesign a compact bathroom in Ridgeways that makes an impact through colour and material without adding complexity to a very small footprint.
Our Approach
A single dominant colour — coral pink — was applied to both ceiling and walls so the room reads as an immersive colour environment rather than a small room with coloured walls. White terrazzo with brown aggregate chips grounds the floor and lower wall zone, introducing texture while staying light. Black metal fixtures and frame elements are used consistently for the basin stand, tap, shower fittings and glass panel frame, giving the room a graphic quality against the pink and white.
