Mirrored Walk-in Closet

The design called for a walk-in wardrobe in a limited space that feels uncluttered, calm and spacious. This was achieved by pairing a bright flooring carpet with navy blue cabinet doors with gold trims, mirrored walls and a mirrored ceiling. A black and white jungle wallpaper on the only open wall finishes the room, giving a cool balance to the space.
The Brief
Fit out a compact walk-in wardrobe in Tigoni that maximises the perceived size of the space while giving it a distinctive character.
Our Approach
Mirror was applied to both the full-height wall and the ceiling, so the room reads as larger than its footprint and the navy cabinets are reflected back from multiple angles. The navy cabinet doors with gold trim detailing introduce colour and material identity without using additional finishes. The monochrome black-and-white tropical jungle wallpaper on the single open wall provides visual interest on the one surface left without mirror or cabinetry. The cream textured carpet completes the contrast — soft underfoot against the hard reflective surfaces above.
